Hull and Ocean Engineering Structural Steel Plates These products have good comprehensive mechanical property, weldability and processing property. They are used to manufacture hull structure of oceangoing, costal and in-land water ships, as well as structural members of boatyard, costal and offshore oil platform, FPSO ship, Spar platform, transportation pipeline in sea, costal power plant, port facilities, etc. API 2H/2W series products are mainly use to fabricate welding structural members of costal service, such as pipe joint, ribbed plate structure and other connecting parts. Marine platforms in USA and Gulf of Mexico generally adopt equivalent steel plates as per API standards. Therefore, these products are targeted to domestic and foreign shipyards and marine engineering equipment manufacturers, and their supporting enterprises
Main Application
Delivery Conditions
(1) Grades A, B and D are delivered in controlled rolling (CR) condition, while Grade E is delivered in normalized condition. (2) The high-strength hull and ocean engineering structural steel plates of A32/A36/A40, D32/D36/D40, E32/E36/E40 F32/E36/F40 (Z25, Z35) are delivered in controlled rolling, normalizing or thermo mechanical control processing (TMCP). (3) EN10225-S355 ocean engineering structural steel plates are delivered in thermo-mechanical control processing (TMCP). (4) API 2H/2W ocean engineering structural steel plates are delivered in normalizing, thermo mechanical control processing (TMCP).
